Q1: The Audobon 8x42 Equinox and the 8x42 Equinox HP both appear to have the same attributes. I cannot see the difference between them except for the price. Could you clarify the difference for me please? Thanks.
A: The difference is in the optical quality the HP is a high precision lens that offers a better light transmission and less aberration.
Q2: Does the 8x42 Equinox HP have Bak-4 optics?
A: Audubon indicates that Equinox HP binoculars have BaK-4 optics.
Q3: I have a pair of 8X42 Audobon Equinox Binoculars. Every time I use them I am irritated by the incredibly cheap and flimsy strap that came with the glasses. Can you recommend something as a replacement?
A: For an improvement over the stock strap, we recommend the Binoculars.com "Classic Strap." It's one of the best aftermarket straps out there. True: It won't really lighten your binocular load any, but it WILL make the binoculars seem a lot lighter.
